Description

These giants wander the various plains of Norrath, as well as the Rathe Mountains and West Commons. Although often hunted for the plat they drop, they can be a serious problem for lower level players.

Recent update have added variation to the Karanas spawning, meaning all of the previous spots that only spawned a Hill Giant now spawn other mobs.

Habitats include: Western Plains of Karana, West Commonlands, Northern Plains of Karana, Rathe Mountains, Eastern Plains of Karana.

Rathe Mtn Camp Rules Per Guide Menden: "You can camp a single Hill Giant if that's the only one you are clearing. You must near that spawn, not kill any other Hill Giants, and engage shortly after spawn (before it starts to roam)." [1] [2]

Rathe Mountain Placeholders:(may be incomplete) a cyclops, a lizard man warrior, a lizard man mystic, a basilisk, a giant skeleton, a grizzly bear, Broog Bloodbeard, Tarskuk

Western Plains of Karana: One spawn @ (-575, -13060) (EHG) on a 6:40 timer. PHs are a grizzly bear, a giant spider, a black wolf, a brown bear, a mist wolf, and a fire beetle. Begins to path away immediately. Caution: Oobnopterbevny Biddilets will path near this spawn. Another giant (or PH) spawns at (298, -10126) (WHG) and immediately begins pathing away.

Hill Giants in EK

Eastern Karana: One spawn @ (-1157, -1030) roams from there on a 6 minute timer. Another spawn on a 6 minute timer on the eastern ridge of the same mountain as the other spawn @ (-1760, -2060), both can have five placeholders: a willowisp, a silvermist wolf, a griffawn, an evil eye, and a gorge hound. After the placeholders spawn they move randomly across the top and sides of the mountain but will return back to their spawn point. * A third giant spawns @ (-1560, -175) when both other giants have been killed, still confirming this is the case.
