Ak'Anon Starting Guide

Welcome

Welcome adventurer to Ak'Anon, home of the Gnomes. This guide will help you find useful quests and NPCs in Ak'Anon, and provide suggestions for surviving Steamfont Mountains.

Starting Location

All characters start at 485, -106 File:Map Icon.png

Guilds (Starting Quests)

Enchanter (Map #10)

New Enchanters start with a Letter of Registration for Juline Urncaller of the Eldritch Collective (map location #10).

Magician (Map #10)

Magicians are instructed to bring their starting letter to Wuggan Azusphere, 1108, -1025 File:Map Icon.png, in the Library Mechanimagica (map location #10).

From the starting location head North (keep the water on your left and the wall on your right). Keep going inside, past Guide I, and keep going straight(-ish).

When you see a clockwork merchant and a clockwork cobbler turn right and head up the ramp. Wuggan Azusphere is inside, ahead in a room with merchants.

Rogue (Map #5)

The Rogue guild is behind a secret door in the cleric temple, in the room to your right as you come the main entrance

Dangers

There are several higher-level NPCs which roam through the starting areas:

• Bugglegupp
• a kobold shaman
• Several of the skeletons, including a decaying skeleton are significantly higher level, so always /con skeletons first to be safe
  • This is especially true of the skeletons near the dragon skeleton

Quest Shopping List

The following items dropped by monsters in Steamfont Mountains can be used to complete quests in Ak'Anon:

• Bone Chips
  • drop off various skeletons, and can be turned in to Gunlok Jure in Kaladim
• Rusted Blackboxes
  • can be turned in to Manik Compolten, as part of the Rusted Black Boxes quest in Ak'Anon
• Minotaur Horns
  • drop off a minotaur slaver and other minotaurs, and can be turned in to Tergon Brenclog as part of the Minotaur Horns quest at the Library in Ak'Anon
• Basilisk Tongues
  • drop off a basilisk and can be turned in to Tergon Brenclog as part of the Basilisk Tongues quest at the Library in Ak'Anon
