Go to loc -7000, 1200 File:Map Icon.png in Eastern Wastes. An Elder Snow Griffin and a Snow Griffin spawn close to it, and another pathes by it. Another location is -6150, -2295 File:Map Icon.png where there is one spawn location of Elder Snow Griffin, an Elder that roams right onto that location, and a third Elder that roams South of that location and goes Westward. The Elders have a far greater chance of dropping an egg, up to 3:1 vs a regular Snow Griffin, it would appear (may need confirmation, seems about the same drop rate between the two).

The griffins are rangers and travel at SoW speed. They are hard to catch up with once they are moving and cast root, dispell, nukes and dots. Their heals, however, are negligible. They are classified as animals. Bring a tracker and, preferably, an easy way to dispose of adds: snow dervishes, manticores and the like roam the wastes and aggro easily.
