Resetting Agro With Translocate
Although the spell Translocate (TL) is normally used to return a character to their bind point after a night of adventuring, in raid events it can instead be used to clear agro in-between actions (that would otherwise get a character killed).
This tactic is sometimes referred to as "TL Boxing".
TL Boxing
[edit]The tactic works as follows:
- First, a character binds near the raid (but not within range of the raid boss)
- Next, a Wizard casts the spell Translocate on them ... but the character DOES NOT accept it
- Instead, they leave the "TL Box" open while they perform a risky action (eg. cast a spell on a raid mob)
- Once the action is complete, the character clicks "Accept", within the TL Box
- The character will be returned to wherever they bound in #1, with all agro cleared
- The character can now run back to the raid and repeat the process (eg. until the spell lands successfully)
