a kromrif recruiter says 'Greetings, little thing. You have entered into the great city of Kael Drakkel, home of the Kromzek as well as a few of my kind, the Kromrif. If you are to walk among my people as a peer you must prove yourself as a friend, not a foe.'

You say, 'I will prove myself as a friend'

a kromrif recruiter says 'Leave this place then and return when you have waged war upon the Coldain. Remove their heads from their bodies and return them to me. I will spread the word of your deeds amongst my people if you do so, Lias.'

You say, 'what about the Coldain?'

a kromrif recruiter says 'The Coldain are the ice dwarves who dwell in the city of Thurgadin. They are a blight upon the land known as Velious, speaking the word of their god, Brell.'

On handing in heads you get faction, and...

* Your faction standing with [[Kromrif]] got better. (+10) -- 74 heads from max kos and remained Scowling. Turned in 100 heads and went to threatening. 134 heads + OVP got to Dubious with Kromrif. Note recruiter is immune to OVP and will agro if OVP is used on him.
* Your faction standing with [[Kromzek]] got better. (+8)
* Your faction standing with [[Coldain]] got worse. (-17)
* Your faction standing with [[Claws of Veeshan]] got worse. (-20 or more)
(tested: from max kos CoV, after 20 positive CoV hits, turning in one Coldain head put me back to max kos CoV)

== Notes ==

He will eat heads if he is KOS. Methods to hand in while KOS include sneak and invisibility (after opening a trade box). He will not aggro from proximity, so you can stand right next to him while casting invis.

He is immune to faction spells like [[Alliance]]; however, you can just go down the hall a short way and cast it on the nearest bearded (Kromrif) giant. If you have no other faction hits, this is enough to raise you to dubious with him.

It takes 6 Coldain heads for most (all?) race/class combinations to attain Dubious, assuming no other faction hits.
