RULES

Important: Use this spreadsheet as your primary resource for this challenge.

GENERAL RULES

You must be an IKSAR
You must be level 5 or lower to join
You must be in KUNARK zones at all times (this includes Timorous Deep)
Permadeath is an optional
Special travel exceptions where a quest that originates on Kunark and takes you outside of it are permitted.
No acceptance of buffs or powerleveling from a character that is too far out of normal level range.
No /role or /anon. Be proud of the glorious tag of Ik!
No transferring money or gear to your character
No buying from or selling to non-guildies
No Multi-Questing
All worn gear must be gear looted from a corpse that you helped create or from a quest that you completed.
Exception 1: You are allowed to purchase tradeskilled gear from guild members at market value (e.g. banded, forged weapons)
Exception 2: Gear bought from merchant may be worn if it is in a merchant's natural stock.

PERMADEATH (OPTIONAL)

Permadeath is now a status/achievement and no longer a requirement to be in <Legacy of Ik>
This playstyle is largely based on the honor system and is intended to serve as a layer of challenge, risk, and skill.
While permadeath is optional, all other aspects of the challenge must be strongly adhered to at all times while tagged.
To avoid any grey area, there are no death exemptions even if it's caused by a train or hardware failure.
Members who are striving for perma-death can identify this status by:
Identifying your status on the spreadsheet
Setting your surname at level 20 to one of the following (COMPLETELY OPTIONAL):
Generation of character:
1st: Imix
2nd: Ikk
3rd: Akbal or III
4th: Kan
5th: Kaban
6th: Kimi
7th: Manik or VII
8th: Lamat or VIII
9th: Muluk or VIIII
10th: Ahau
Upon death, you would petition to have your surname removed or changed to something else.

LIFE SYSTEM (OPTIONAL)

Starting with ZERO, you gain ONE extra "life" every 10 levels.
After 50, you gain 1 life every level.
You can only have a maximum amount of 3 lives in reserve.
When you lose your last life, remove your optional surname OR reroll completely.
Members striving for perma-death can identify this status by using one of the suggested (optional) surnames above.

To the best of your ability, avoid groups that are actively being powerleveled or overly buffed outside of group.

01/05/23 - IKBOT Discord Milestone Bot and Trailer

For advanced tracking throughout the challenge, members can now use a simple program to automatically parse their logs and extract important information which will be announced by The Emperor himself in the Legacy of Ik Milestones channel on Discord!

Current metrics being tracked:
Guild roster/new members
Level milestones
Relevant loot drops
Named mob kills
Tradeskill milestones
Deaths
Quest rewards (in development)
Nearby deaths (in development)

Running this program is completely optional. It aims to only automate the announcing of select Ik milestones. If you are doing permadeath mode, it's highly encouraged to use. :)

You can download IkBot 2.0 here. Keep in mind that you can edit the generated config.ini file to change the character name, if needed.

Returning players who are in the sister-guild, <Thralls of Ik>, can now get re-invited into <Legacy of Ik>
<Thralls of Ik> will no longer function as a separate guild. Everything will be consolidated into one guild.
