<p><b>New page</b></p><div>Legacy items are items that were originally introduced to the game as normal items, but then (because the Verant developers realized that they were overly-powerful, or otherwise game-breaking), they were either changed to no longer drop or "nerfed" (ie. had their power lowered).<br />

On Project 1999, in order to preserve Classic EverQuest, these items are similarly added to new servers (eg. [[Green]], and once many years ago on [[Blue]]), and then when the server reaches the equivalent point in the timeline, they are either nerfed or removed. Because of the popularity of these items, on newer servers (ie. [[Green]]) the most powerful ones are protected by [[List Command |/list]].<br />
