Since baseline faction is indifferent, which means no one will attack you, merchants will give you the best prices, and most quests will be available, agnosticism is very convenient, especially when combined with a more neutral race, or a good selection of racial illusions (mostly [[Enchanter]]s, but also [[Bard]]s and [[Rogue]]s to some extent).
